This video profiles the Gulf of Maine Field Studies Class beach profiling on Goose Rocks Beach in Kennebunkport, Maine. Beach profiling is a simple method of measuring beach sand erosion and accretion each month. With the exception of a few locations where sand is accumulating due to the influence of jetties, all of Maine’s beaches are eroding, and it’s driven by sea-level rise.
